As you’re probably well-aware, Colorado’s favorite high holiday is fast approaching. It’s time to get ready and weigh your options for the best possible bashes in town. Thankfully, we’ve done your homework for you and found some of the sweetest spots to celebrate with the stoner community. Here are six spectacular events that you should consider hitting when the holiday rolls around.

Mile High 420 Festival

When? 4/20/2019, 10AM-6PM

Where? Civic Center Park, 101 14th Avenue, Denver, CO

Who? All ages (but you should probably leave the kids at home)

How much? FREE!

With more than 50,000 annual participants, the Mile High 420 Festival is the biggest free 420 bash in existence around the globe. The festival is taking place at Denver’s Civic Center Park – just four blocks East of our Colfax smoke shop. Renowned artists and advocates of the industry will be there to help maximize this cannabis culture phenomenon. With dozens of food trucks and an on-site beer garden, this event will be hard to beat. Creatively Cannabis

When? 4/20/2019, 7PM-9PM (participants encouraged to arrive at 6:30PM)

Where? The Coffee Joint – 1130 Yuma Court, Denver, CO

Who? Must be of legal age (21+) to consume cannabis onsite

How much? $40 – tickets sold here.

Ready to get your creative juices flowing along with the ones in your JUUL? The Coffee Joint is the first public venue around where patrons of legal age are permitted to consume cannabis onsite. The Colorado Clean Air Act prohibits smoke and open flames in public venues, ruling out the use of a water pipe or joint. However, patrons are welcome to use dab rigs onsite, and eat the edibles of their choosing. You can also fill your vaporizer with oil, wax or flower, and puff it to your heart’s content. If the products you have at home won’t meet these terms, stop by our head shop this week for the hookup. Keila, a talented and experienced painter, will help to guide novices and experts alike toward their ideal artistic creation. Free coffee and hot tea will be provided, with munchies and additional beverages also available for sale.

420 Eve On The Rocks 2019

When? 4/19/2019, 6:30PM (doors open at 5:30)

Where? Red Rocks Amphitheater, 18300 West Alameda Parkway, Morrison, CO

End the night right with breathtaking scenery and showstopping musical guests at Colorado’s own Red Rocks Amphitheater. 311 will be headlining this special holiday show, along with Method Man and Redman. Hip and highly-rated openers will help kick off the evening, including Dizzy Wright, The Green, Jesse Royal, and Project 432. Roundtrip shuttles from downtown Denver to the show and back are for sale for $40 more – letting you really celebrate the high life, with a safe and sober trip home.

CannaVenture® Hike

What better way to celebrate getting high than to literally get a little higher? Join a trail guide and fellow hikers for a 3.4 mile trek up the Rattlesnake Gulch Trail. The trail is located in the scenic El Dorado State Park, which is near Boulder, and about an hour from Denver. The breathtaking views will certainly be worth the trip. Partake safely before the climb at your own discretion. More information can be found here.

4/20 Herb Strong Grand Opening

The Colorado House of Rastafari is opening its doors, and it welcomes the public to celebrate with a three-day 4/20 bash. The venue and sacramental church is featuring a wide variety of events and activities. The festivities kick off on Friday the 19th at 4:20PM with Ethiopian catering, reggae and displays of live art. The vibe intensifies on 4/20 with Dub-wise yoga from 11AM to noon. The party resumes from 4:20 to 7PM with One Drum’s live reggae, followed by Groundation Nyabinghi Ises from 7 to 10PM. Denver Dub Club will be in session from high noon to 4:20PM on Sunday the 21st, with a rare performance of King David’s Harp & Lyre and showings of never-before-seen photography by Haile Salassie. Sacramental herbs are welcome.

3rd Annual Mile High Burlesque Fest

When? 4/19 and 4/20/2019, 8PM-11:45PM (doors open at 7PM)

Where? The Oriental Theater, 4335 West 44th Avenue, Denver, CO

Who? Ages 21+ How much? $20-$40

Enjoy a sultry show on Friday and Saturday night with Denver’s 3rd annual Mile High Burlesque Fest. High-quality dancers will be competing for the ranks of “Best Buds,” “Master of Munchies,” and “Most High.” On top of those traditional titles, this year’s festival introduces the “I didn’t Inhale!” award. The lovely Cora Vette is hosting, alongside The Chevettes and headliner Blaze: the Red Rose of Texas.
